She thought of the day that the fall storm had come, the wind whipping in the trees, rustling their branches, and the smell of cinnamon and cedar was brought on the gusts. She holds her mug of spiced tea close to her as she lets the pecan pie cool on the sill. This year, the weather is calm, with harvest's early light filtering through the tree canopy.
